ABOUT USI never intended to be in sales let alone sell motorcycle clothing. In the mid-1990’s after over 20 years of riding I took the motorcycle safety foundation (MSF) course and found it to be of such benefit that it really became sort of a calling. Soon after becoming a full instructor of both the basic and experienced riders courses it became apparent that many of my students didn’t know how to or couldn’t find proper riding gear. Seeking to fill this void I established Trophy Cycle Apparel with the overriding mission to offer premium motorcycle gear without compromise. That meant focusing on quality and value not whether an item was popular or cheap. Probably not the best business model on paper but the only way to stay true to our clients. Instead of trying to sell everything from everybody we purposely minimized our selection. Whether it was a jacket, glove or boot, we simply searched out and tested only the best product in each category, stocked it and cut out any nonsense right there. No second or third tier merchandise, no quick-buck closeouts on inferior gear, no "stuff" just to fill space. Either it was top dog or nothing. That’s why Trophy Cycle Apparel (USA) and MapleafMoto (Canada) are the only bike shops big or small to host so many higher-end brands such as Vanson, Schott, Rukka, Held and Vendramini under one roof. And while we always respect our clients we don't pander to foolish choices. So no beanie helmets, fingerless gloves or biker make-believe. If it doesn’t work as protective gear it doesn’t work on our shelves. Call or write anytime to discuss the products we sell and even those we don't. Ride safe, Michael Shapiro Proprietor |
